The "engineering", office personnel, underground remotely operated mining equipment can all be done remotely afar, with a cellphone. Say Biden's beach house, or Saudi Arabia. This makes me question just how much AZ will benefit. For consideration, 175* at the lower mine level, how long can a person survive, exposed to that temperature? Everything that can be operated remotely or with "AI" will be. Az House and Senate should have the deciding vote, not a remotely located, unelected federal minion.

This mine will destroy miles of American land above--the beautiful nature preserve of Oak Flat sacred to Apaches and ordered protected by Dwight D. Eisenhower--in order to sell copper to China, who owns a major stake in Rio Tinto. In addition to destroying the aquifers around the mine area, its toxic tailings (waste) pond will sit next to Gila River just 45 miles upstream from Phoenix. The mine died in committee after Native Americans lobbied stop it, but it was added as a rider to the 2015 defense budget by former AZ senators McCain and Flake who received campaign $$$ from the companies. Undemocratic, environmentally disastrous b.s. Keep America worth defending by stopping this mine. Save Oak Flat.

Using the heated water in a electric boiler, you could get cheap steam. Depending on the temperature in the mine or even if you went deeper you could do geothermal because the mine is so deep you would have to make the turbines under ground but it would help with your power cost. Water flashes at 212 degrees and one of the videos I watched said the temperature in the mine was 180 you could drill a geothermal well a bit deeper and essentially make a geothermal power plant under ground.
