I'm not against mining, I'm against overhyping the jobs and monetary benefit to the community and AZ. The "engineering", office personnel, underground remotely operated mining equipment can all be done remotely afar, with a cellphone. Say Biden's beach house, or Saudi Arabia. This makes me question just how much AZ will benefit. For consideration, 175* at the lower mine level, how long can a person survive, exposed to that temperature? Everything that can be operated remotely or with "AI" will be. Az House and Senate should have the deciding vote, not a remotely located, unelected federal minion.

Props to hardworking miners supplying the metals society needs, but Resolution Copper is a consortium of two foreign mining companies: Rio Tinto and BHP. This mine will destroy miles of American land above--the beautiful nature preserve of Oak Flat sacred to Apaches and ordered protected by Dwight D. Eisenhower--in order to sell copper to China, who owns a major stake in Rio Tinto. In addition to destroying the aquifers around the mine area, its toxic tailings (waste) pond will sit next to Gila River just 45 miles upstream from Phoenix. The mine died in committee after Native Americans lobbied stop it, but it was added as a rider to the 2015 defense budget by former AZ senators McCain and Flake who received campaign $$$ from the companies. Undemocratic, environmentally disastrous b.s. Keep America worth defending by stopping this mine. Save Oak Flat.

When this mine is tapped out will the mining company stay to clean up the toxic mess they make, or will they take their profits and run, leaving it to the government, aka. taxpayers to deal with it?

Thanks for your question, Steve. A final reclamation plan for the future mine is a requirement under both state and federal law before mining can commence. No longer can mining companies turn off the lights and walk away. You can read more here - www.resolutioncopper.com/reclamation.html

Using the heated water in a electric boiler, you could get cheap steam. Built some presser and you can do a lot with it, but I think you should be looking into EV suits, I think it would be way more meta<('-'<) If you want to hire me as head of R&D for environmental safety solutions, I would be down check it out. Just pm me.

Depending on the temperature in the mine or even if you went deeper you could do geothermal because the mine is so deep you would have to make the turbines under ground but it would help with your power cost. Water flashes at 212 degrees and one of the videos I watched said the temperature in the mine was 180 you could drill a geothermal well a bit deeper and essentially make a geothermal power plant under ground.
